THE EXPO
i had a whopper and rings at the airport.
oh my god... E3!!!!!
it took about an hour to get our badges. it would have been a lot longer except turnham and i cut into the first line about halfway through (accidentally, i swear!) and when we got in the second line we spotted cat up front and she let us cut in with her.
now that we were official, first stop, evil dead! this billboard was awesome, but sam looked really off-model and creepy.
they can't get enough of the game! i never saw one of the stations empty for more than a few seconds. gautham, andy, drew, and jonk did a fine job running things. jon was interviewed by some french tv station while i was there.
everyone wants a taste of evil dead! there was a pretty fun mario party-style spongebob game right next door also, but i think i was the only one who played it.
this guy at the xbox booth played through the whole demo while the guy on the right coached him. he wasn't very good but it looked like he was having fun.
it seemed most of the nintendo booth was dedicated to ds games. i got a chance to play nintendogs, but missed animal crossing which is the one i'm really looking forward to. mario strikers was also lots of fun. there were some ds downloads, like zelda trailer and a submarine game. and there were also some cute girls with ds's hooked to them that played pinball.
nintendo as seen from the ps3 floor. ps3 only showed a very lame video, and then you could see the system in a glass case at the end.
we waited an hour to try out zelda: twilight princess, which was being shown in a secret haunted house type area. they had this scary skeleton guy to jump at you and also a terrifying link that i refused to photograph. the demo they had for zelda looked a lot like ocarina, but there was a new trailer that showed some SUPER sweet looking stuff that i can't wait to play.
these guys were cute, i think they were at the kingdom hearts booth.
gizmondo had these cool breakdancers. the gizmondo was mondo suckage though.
