It's only 3 days until the San Diego Comic-Con! Chris and I are running around like crazy getting things ready for what will definitely be the best show we've ever done! If you've been to see us in the past 3 years, we want to let you know that we're in a new and bigger location to accomodate for all of our new stuff - Booth 1316. This is where we are on the convention center map:

Here's a preview of what's in store for you at the Fleet Street Booth!

Yuki 7 makes her San Diego debut! We will have copies of our new book, Seductive Espionage: The World of Yuki 7 for sale at Comic-Con for the very first time, along with these other items:
- Limited supply of the Collector's Edition book!
- English, Japanese, and French Yuki posters!
- Yuki 7 shirts!
- Appearances by Don Shank, Megan Brain, and Elizabeth Ito!
- Lots of other surprises!

Chris will also be unveiling this beautiful new oversized print of Phileas Fogg and his clocks from "Around the World in 80 Days", as well as an amazing screenprinted poster commissioned by The Decemberists! Here's just a small teaser:

See you in San Diego! |

Ian Albinson and Alex Ulloa over at The Art of the Title Sequence has put together a really fantastic article about the making of the Yuki 7 trailer. He interviewed me, Stephane, and Cyrille about our respective roles and views on the project for a comprehensive look at how the whole thing was put together. It's got a lot of really interesting never-before-seen things, including the very first cut of the animatic, a look at the different layers in one of my Photoshop files, and much more. You can also get a nice Quicktime file of the trailer in HD. I definitely recommend checking it out!
I forgot to mention that I was also recently interviewed at the German design website, diskursdisko. You can read that interview by clicking here.
Finally, tomorrow is the last day of the Yuki 7 show! There are still a few last pieces of gorgeous artwork you can pick up from the Gallery Nucleus website if you act fast! |

Man, last Friday was so much fun! I can't even explain how cool it was to finally show people the book and see their reactions as they flipped through it. Meeting everyone and signing books was awesome, the drinks were great, the music was sweet - but most of all it was amazing to have my whole family there from Texas and Colorado and my old friends from Seattle and Portland. I think it'll definitely go down as one of the best nights of my life. Thank you so much to everyone who came out, and also thanks to Ben, Wade, and Lin at Nucleus for hosting the show!
Before I get to the photos, I wanted to let you know that all 4 of the Yuki 7 French movie posters are now up for sale at Fleet Street! Each one is a limited edition of 50, 3-color screenprint on cream-colored paper, and LARGE (12"x24"!)

Now onto the photos! These were taken by my awesome friend Dan Cole of Gritbox Photography!

My friends & family were nice enough to help me pack up all of the pre-ordered books over the weekend too. This is just the first half of what we packed. I ended up mailing well over 300 packages this week!

So the books are making their way around the world right now, and I hope everyone who ordered one enjoys it when it arrives. Please feel free to leave a comment here, on the Yuki Fan Page, or send me an e-mail to let us know what you think! |

Tonight is the Seductive Espionage Book Release and Art Show at Gallery Nucleus! I can't believe it's finally here! I'm so excited to show off the book and get peoples' reactions. I dropped by the gallery yesterday to see them hanging the show and it really looks amazing! Making this book has been a pretty amazing adventure, and I can't wait to celebrate with everyone who helped make it happen and all the people who have been looking forward to it.

Speaking of books, the entire shipment arrived at my doorstep this week, just in time for the show! We are working on packing and shipping all of the pre-orders as I write this.
I wanted to give one last reminder about the Yuki 7 Giveaway running on Boing Boing, which ends tomorrow! Tweet your dream movie title and tag it #yuki7 for a chance to win one of 3 amazing prizes!
See you tonight! |
